City of New Orleans to Launch New Business Property Tax Payment Plan Program July 1
NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans today announced the launch of a limited-time payment plan program on July 1 to help business owners resolve past due balances on Business Personal Property taxes. For the first time, eligible businesses will have the option to pay their balance in smaller, manageable monthly installments rather than paying in full.
The program is open to any business owner with a past due Business Personal Property tax balance incurred before July 1, 2025.
Business owners will be able to:
- Enroll online once their delinquent bill is issued in July
- Pay their existing tax balance over time in monthly installments
- Access a simple, secure platform to get started and stay on track
Business owners are encouraged to sign up at nola.gov/treasury to receive a launch day alert and gain early access to the enrollment process.
This new program builds on the City’s commitment to providing flexible payment options for residents and businesses. Earlier this month, the City launched its limited time payment plan program for motorists with overdue parking and traffic camera tickets. In 2024, the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans introduced payment plans for its customers.
The program will run from July 1 through September 30. The City is partnering with Promise, a trusted technology provider, to deliver a secure and user-friendly experience for business owners who wish to participate.
